Yuendumu's modern painting movement started roughly ten years after the great Papunya art movement. Although, unlike those of their sister community Papunya, who decided to restrict their palette to ochre-like colors, Yuendumu painters like Sheila Japaljarri have always used bright acrylics of many hues.
This work is particularly vibrant, with fine and meticulous dot work. Other than the strong colors, this painting features the sense of movement which distinguished much of the artists oeuvre. The painting will be posted framed, and well packaged for safe and quick transit.
