In this stunning work, Michelle has shown the Napperby region of her country - the central theme of the painting is the dried Napperby Creek bed which runs through the painting. The concentric circles in the centre represent a women's campsite. Various Nungala (women) can be seen seated (horse shoe shapes) while throughout the painting Michelle has shown the various bush tucker and ceremonial iconography of her countryside. Four women sleeping are shown by kidney shapes, body paint depicted by oval grey lines, spinifex (white stars), bush flowers (blue and red stars), bush beans, digging sticks, rocks (orange and red shapes) can be seen to the right of central campsite. Michelle has made fantastic use of color and has produced one of her best paintings yet.
