Yuendumu was established as a settlement in 1946 and handed over to its community of around 800 Warlpiri people in 1978. Yuendumu art has, from it's outset in the mid-1980s, been notable for its use of bright colors and intricate colors.

Yuendumu has a thriving art production, and is highly collectable. Since 1990, more than sixty exhibitions of Yuendumu work have been held in major galleries world wide, with Yuendumu artists participating in more than 1000 other group exhibitions.

This acrylic on linen has a sense of symmetry that is typical most of Carol's work. The fine dot work and earthy colors are quite typical of the Yuendumu and Papunya area.

Aboriginal works will issue a certificate of authenticity including a photo of the artist with the work. This painting will be couriered stretched and well packed.
