ADAPTABILITY AT ANY AGE

 

Mother of Mitjili Napurrula and sister to Wintjiya Napaltjarri, Tjunkiya was born at Rapalangya, north-west of Kintore. She later moved to Papunya with her husband, father of the painter Turkey Tolson. The siblings have had their works exhibited together on several occasions, and it's not rare to see the artists collaborate in making a single painting.
